The Caterpillar 10

The Caterpillar Ten was originally introduced in 1928 and replaced the Caterpillar 2-Ton.

Made in East Peoria, they were well-liked among orchard farmers, as the Ten moved easily among the groves.

Caterpillar products – from machines to hats – have made cameo appearances in Hollywood-made movies over the years. But you probably have never seen, or even heard of, a quirky film called “The Great Tractor Race” made in 1931. Watch for the Model Ten, as well as some other vintage machines.
